PRACTICE PUNE STYLE 
ESTABLISHED TRADITIONS, EVOLVING METHODS

Ramamani Iyengar  Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) offers 55 classes weekly for students of all levels.  This workshop will offer local practitioners  an opportunity to experience the most current teachings from Pune, India.  Join Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers (CIYT) Lorene Zant and David Carpenter who both spent time in Pune India this year.

Registration Support for this workshop includes the benefit of a one year membership ($70) in IYNAUS – Iyengar Yoga Nation Association of the United States a not for profit association dedicated to exemplary teaching standards, and IYAMW (Iyengar Yoga Association of the MidWest) our local region.  

Communities like ours are benefited through the effort of these organizations through the dissemination of the genius of the Iyengar family legacy.

BODY’S KITCHEN : ASANAS FOR ABDOMINAL HEALING AND REJUVENATION
A practice to bring tone and space to the organs in the abdominal cavity, vitalizing your body's healing energies.

IYNAUS TEACHER ED FOR INTRODUCTORY & INTERMEDIATE JUNIOR LEVELS


Intermediate Junior 2 & 3 Training (All CIYT teachers are welcome) For Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers Bring a current IYNAUS certification manual along with Preliminary and Intermediate Course Manuals
Friday's focus will be preparation of skills for the IJ2 & 3 levels: refinements and aspects of integration based on observation, further development in adept linking and integration to evoke meditative focus in the classroom.  Introductory certified teachers are welcome to attend and may find this training helpful, informative and inspiring. The Module will cover the following: 1) Observation and Correction 2) Integration, Linking and Refinements 3) Mentorship 4) Integrating Philosophy in the Classroom

IYENGAR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING 2018 With Senior Teacher Mary Reilly

INTRODUCTORY AND INTERMEDIATE JUNIOR 1 TRAINING 1 year recent study of Iyengar Yoga required

When: SUN April 22: 8:30 - 2 pm

Where: Quilombo Cultural Center In Logan Square – Chicago IL www.quilombocenter.org 1757 N Kimball, 2nd floor  Kimball Arts building just south of the 606 trail Free street parking -- Free parking lot

Sunday's training works on solidifying foundational skills emphasizing clear instruction based on observation.  Priorities for teaching to the group will be given to those interested in IJ1 training and those  going up for certification.  This will be the primary training for the certified teachers at Introductory level


This Module is for:   

1) Those interested in teaching in the Iyengar Tradition (Certification not required) - Bring current IYNAUS certification manual along with Preliminary Course Manual.   

2) Introductory Certified Iyengar teachers who want to hone their teaching skills.  Bring         current IYNAUS certification manual along with Preliminary and Intermediate Course Manuals.   

3) Iyengar certified teachers preparing for certification at the junior 1 level.


Cost:  SUN Introductory and Intermediate Junior 1 Training $140 ($125 if paid by Jan 15) Note:  Refunds granted minus a $30 processing fee until April 1.  No refunds after April 1.

David Carpenter has been practicing Iyengar Yoga since
2000 and has been a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher since
2015. He studied in India with Geeta Iyengar in December 
2014 and spent August 2017 studying at RIMYI. He now 
serves as President of IYNAUS.

 

Lorene Zant served on IYAMW’s board of directors, attended Geeta’s Yoganusasanam in December 2015, and studied at RIMYI the month of October 2017. She is committed to serving those who are in need and sees the value of Iyengar Yoga as a vehicle to do so.
